This management level position is a strategic hire for UHY in St. Louis and offers a fantastic opportunity to lead a wide range of technology advisory and assurance engagements within a well-established, secure and growing global professional services organization. Reporting to the Director of the practice based locally in St. Louis, this role offers visibility with senior leadership, the opportunity to take on advanced projects and have direct access to coaching and mentoring.

Tasks

• Deliver guidance on technology strategies, opportunities and risks to senior client executives (both technical and non-technical). Quickly assess current state of client IT environments and develop recommendations for improvement. Assist with developing cost and level of effort estimates. Identify opportunities for utilizing emerging technologies (e.g., cloud, mobile, social, analytics) to improve business results and minimize risk. Identify and document business requirements as well as identify 3rd party partners to assist clients with meeting technology needs. Provide Virtual CIO-type services to clients.

 

 

• Develop and lead oral and written presentations to executives during the conclusion of the project, discuss observations and recommend next steps to improve operations, increase productivity, improve controls, reduce risk and reduce costs.

 

 

• Build and develop client relationships and solicit client input on satisfaction.

 

 

• Lead client development meetings, prepare proposals and execute other practice development activities.

 

 

• Provide technical expertise relating to complex technology and control issues and answer questions received from clients.

 

 

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple engagements including a broad range of assignments including cybersecurity, IT strategy, technology controls, etc.

 

 

• Supervise staff and manage services delivered to clients including preparation of strategy and plans, setting and monitoring budgets, scheduling projects, selecting staff and assigning workloads, and reporting of results; develop and motivate engagement staff and provide them with coaching and counseling.

 

 

• Assist with overall project management for engagements; prepare project proposals for potential engagements and ensure services are delivered up to client requirements and industry standards; prepare reports and work papers.

 

 

• Manage engagement budget, staffing, and scheduling issues; oversee programs for client organizations, as well as supervise research on complex technology problems; and serve as a managing supervisor for senior and staff personnel.

 

Experience and Education

1. Minimum of five (5) years related IT, consulting, business analyst, internal audit or IT audit experience

2. CPA, CISSP, CIA, CISA, CISM and other technology and control designations a plus

3. A bachelor's degree in business, technology, MIS, accounting or related field (advanced degree is preferred)

4. MBA is a plus

5. Strong verbal communication skills and strong writing skills; detail oriented and articulate

6. A willingness to travel, if necessary

7. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for their profession, a strong desire to join a growing team and contribute to that growth
