We are seeking to fill a Business Valuation Senior Manager position within the FLVS Department.   Responsibilities will include providing business valuation services for clients and attorneys across a wide array of engagements including: estate and gift tax planning, divorce, shareholder disputes, mergers & acquisitions, buy/sell, stock options/409A, fair value measurement, financial modeling and other management planning purposes.  In addition, they will be responsible for marketing services to new and existing clients, implementing marketing initiatives for lead generation and coordination of service offerings and delivery methods with other national leaders.

 

The ideal candidate will be expected to effectively communicate with clients and engagement staff and to prospect for new business.  The candidate must have the ability to plan, direct and review document collections, oversee complex analysis and coordinate reporting requirements including presentation of findings in client settings.

  2. Manage multiple engagements effectively
  3. Manage documents and work papers
  4. Provide advanced technical training and research
  5. Document review and identification of key documents
  6. Analyze financial statements and documents
  7. Summarize findings and recommendations
  8. Prepare written reports and presentations
  9. Network for lead generation

Skills

  1. Technically proficient in all aspects of business valuation theory and application
  2. Creative problem-solver
  3. Critical and logical thinking both in financial and non-financial aspects of an engagement
  4. Advanced computing skills with Excel, Word, Outlook
  5. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  6. Excellent presentation skills
  7. Ability to work with changing client-imposed deadlines
  8. Capable of working in teams and individually

 

Experience and Education

  • 7-10 Years’ relevant business valuation experience
  • CPA, ABV, CVA, CFA and/or ASA certification highly preferred
  • Familiarity with Capital IQ, IBIS, First Research, RMA
  • Ability to manage others
  • Self-Starter
