UHY is on the hunt for a Business Development Manager with at least five years of relevant experience working in a professional services firm.

What Will You Do:

Build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.

Tasks

How You Will Do It:

  • Identifies opportunities by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by discovering and exploring opportunities. 
  • Help develop effective proposals
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating needs and goals.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Encourage leadership team to attend specific events that are important for UHY
  • Maintains pipeline of contacts and produces report data.
  • Identifies and cultivates referral sources.
  • Help develop effective proposals.
  • Develop staff by taking them to events and helping them grow professionally.

Skills

What You Should Have:

  • Ability to manage the business development process from start to finish
  • Ability to self-manage
  • Proven negotiation skills, relationship building ability and knowledge of risk concepts.
  • Writing - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • Effectively presenting ideas to both large groups and individuals.
  • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Social Perceptiveness - Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
  • Computer Skills – Ability to operate spreadsheet, word processing and email and various marketing applications.

Experience and Education

Bachelor's Degree; 5+ Years

Experience and expoosure to Databases
