Position Summary

Direct the day-to-day functions of Human Resources.  Record data for each employee, such as address, supervisory reports on ability and date of and reason for termination. Compile and type reports from employment records. Search employee files and furnish information to authorized persons.


  • Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
  • Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions.
  • Answer questions regarding examinations, eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.
  • Record data for each employee, including such information as addresses, supervisory reports on performance, benefits enrollment and dates of and reasons for terminations.
  • Make recommendations to management to improve HR processes.
  • Process, verify, and maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and classifications.
  • Hold exit interviews
  • Help when needed for overflow of recruiting
  • Handle employee metrics for Management.

  • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Writing - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • Computer Skills – Ability to operate spreadsheet, word processing and email programs. Familiarity with and ability to operate HRIS system. 
  • Mathematics

Experience and Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or 2 years’ experience in a HR role
