WHAT YOU WILL DO

Regular duties include (but are not limited to):

• Review tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individuals
• International tax compliance including, but not limited to, forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858 and 1118
• Prepare and review tax provisions
• Handle special projects including tax audits, transaction structuring, and implementation of tax planning strategies
• Facilitate advanced tax research, resolve complex tax issues
• Review tax work from staff and provide feedback, training, and mentoring
• Lead and manage multiple tax engagements from start to finish ensuring they are completed within budget and timeline
• Build, manage, and maintain lasting relationships with clients
• Develop, motivate, and train staff – act as a mentor and a role model
• Demonstrate advanced tax technical knowledge necessary for advising clients and developing an area of expertise
• Participate in firm’s marketing, recruiting, team-building, and similar efforts
• Develop outside relationships with a goal of generating referral sources
• Adhere to firm’s policies and procedures

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Experience

• 5-10 years in relevant position
• Knowledge of fundamental U.S. international tax rules including residency and sourcing rules, ECI, Foreign Tax Credit, withholding taxes, and tax treaties

Education

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

License / Certification

• Must be a CPA
• Must maintain required CPE credits annually

For job postings in our Irvine, CA location, we are required by law to include a good faith salary range for every job, promotion, and transfer opportunity. This range considers many factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s knowledge, job specific skills, experience, licensure, and certifications.  A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $105,000 to $144,000.
