Apply today to join the team as a Client Accounting Associate to help service our clients with accounting services, including accounts payable and accounts receivable service, reconciliations (e.g., bank, credit card, prepaid and accruals, etc.), financial statement preparation, advisory services, controller and/or CFO services, and accounting technology solution deployment.

Client Accounting Associates are employees who are interested in pursuing a career in professional accounting services.  During this time, Client Accounting Associates will focus on developing their accounting, technical and soft skills; developing the ability to work on multiple projects; understanding the fundamentals of executing diligent client service; learning the work tools used in executing client work; and getting oriented to the Firm’s practices, policies, and culture.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Regular duties include (but are not limited to):

• Demonstrates ability to work independently on engagements with the assistance of senior staff:

• Performing bookkeeping and general accounting services for client
• Assist with completing month-end work (reconciliation of bank accounts, post cash receipts and cash disbursements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, calculate and record monthly accruals, record journal entries, assist with financial statements, assist with reviewing G/L detail to be sure sufficient information is provided for preparation of year-end returns)
• Assists in preparing quarterly and annual payroll tax returns, W-2’s, 1099’s
• Assists in calculating monthly sales tax liability and preparing and filing returns
• Payroll processing services

• Maintains designated chargeable hours for the year
• Ensures quality control procedures are being executed under direction of management
• Maintains positive client relationships
• Responds timely and accurately to internal team and client requests
• Ability to work within budgetary parameters
• Appropriately communicates difficult situations encountered on engagements to management
• Perform thorough self-review of all work prior to submission to management
• Follows regulations and professional ethics of the AICPA and the state society

• Participates in recruiting and team-building activities directly related to job responsibilities
• Punctually enters time and expenses to support efficient billing processes

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

Required Experience and Education

• Prior and current bookkeeping/accounting experience in public accounting, corporate or private business
• High school diploma or GED
• Thorough understanding of basic accounting principals
• Proficient knowledge of accounting software, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Experience and Education

• Experience with Sage Intacct, Bill.com, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, NetSuite, are a plus
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or relevant work experience
