THE FOCUS IS YOU 

We are looking to hire a Director of Business Development, Transformation Solutions to join our growing team. This position is responsible for planning and executing UHY Consulting sales strategy and to ensure continual client satisfaction and generate profitable revenue growth.

 

HOW YOU CAN IMPACT OUR FIRM

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

 

Knowledge Capital

  • Possesses an advanced understanding of all UHY Consulting services capabilities, and an expert understanding in Transformation Solutions
  • Understands and can identify the UHY Consulting services buyer
  • Understands when to leverage the appropriate UHY resource to close new business
  • Possesses an expert understanding of a consultative sales approach

Sales Activity

  • Leads all aspects of the customer acquisition life cycle from pipeline development, account management, opportunity pursuit, meeting follow up, proposal, client procurement, contract negotiation, risk management, SOW development and revenue attainment
  • Leverages databases, public sources, and solutions teams to identify client/prospect contact information
  • Assists with marketing campaigns, content, and marketing activity
  • Partners with subject matter experts to produce and present thought leadership
  • Interprets, predicts, and responds to market changes and complex industry issues
  • Generates profitable revenue growth
  • Applies a consultative sales approach
  • Sells and scopes projects within established gross margin thresholds

Relationship Activity

  • Establishes & maintains meaningful relationships with existing and potential clients
  • Coordinates relationship building activities and introductions between clients, Consulting Solutions leadership, and team members
  • Demonstrates an expert understanding of how UHY Consulting Solutions can solve client issues thus becoming a trusted advisor
  • Advocates for clients through clearly communicating needs to Solutions team
  • Conducts client satisfaction outreach throughout engagements
  • Immediately escalates client issues to supervisor and project owner

Administrative Activity

  • Assists in the continuous evaluation and improvement of business development strategy and sales approach
  • Updates client/prospect contact information
  • Tracks and reports on all sales activity as assigned
  • Ensures the sales pipeline is appropriately updated in PSA/Changepoint
  • Schedules meetings between UHY Business Development, SMEs and clients for final scoping when necessary

Team Activity

  • Assists in managing activity and coaching Account Executives and Senior Account Executives
  • Educates business development team and new hires on UHY Consulting solution capabilities
  • Identifies and advocates for own growth and development
  • Establishes meaningful relationships with Solutions team members

 

IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE FOR THE POSITION

Experience

  • 10 or more years business development experience
  • Professional services experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred) or equivalent experience

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Accounting and/or finance knowledge appropriate to assigned Solution Internal Client
  • Ability to self-direct to achieve KPIs
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong desire for advancement
  • Confidence in dealing with executive level client contacts
  • Ability to think critically
  • Ability to verbally convey ideas clearly, with appropriate tone, adapting to the reaction of the audience
  • High level of emotional intelligence
  • Ability to produce written communication that is grammatically correct, logically structured, and contextually appropriate
  • Experienced with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to use record-keeping technology for sales activity

  • Ability to use virtual meeting technology
  • Comfortable with in-person and virtual video meetings

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT, TRAVEL, PHYSICAL DEMAND

  • Time may be spent in both the Firm’s office environment, home office, and/or the client or prospective client premises where conditions may vary.
  • The volume and predictability of work may vary to achieve business development goals; may be subject to on-call requests with short notice and work hours exceeding 40 per week.
  • Travel may be frequent and unpredictable, depending upon firm needs.
  • Physical demands include the ability to transport necessary equipment between client & prospective client sites; this requires the ability to lift issued equipment such as laptops, backpacks, keyboards, note-taking materials, bending or standing as necessary.
