Position Summary

We currently have an opportunity for an Tax Administrative Assistant in our Des Moines office.  The Administrative Assistant performs a wide range of administrative and operational support to the office to facilitate the efficient operation of UHY. 

Tasks

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Regular duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide tax operational support including assembling tax returns and extensions (Business and Individual) in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assemble tax organizers and tax return documents for clients.
  • Download electronic files and accessing online portals.
  • Organizing client data, bookmarking files for scanning and validating pages.
  • Responsible for formatting and proofreading of client correspondence and facilitate the review and approval by responsible party.
  • Electronically transmit final documents/tax returns to clients.
  • Accurately organize and maintain electronically executed documents.
  • Provide back-up coverage for administrative colleagues as well as reception and phones.
  • Place lunch orders for internal meetings, Lunch & Learns, etc.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and place orders with applicable vendors.
  • Work collaboratively with other administrative assistants to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task in a fast paced environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe products.

Experience and Education

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate); 2+ years
