Position Summary

Provide general office support for Professional departments (Audit, Tax, SALT, ERAS, FLVS) requiring limited knowledge of office management systems and procedures.  Simple tasks may be assigned as needed by department and may include a combination of basic client work, filing and data entry. Position is typically temporary and part-time.

Tasks

  • Develop an understanding of the firm’s audit approach, methodology & tools 
  • Learn and practice basic preparation skills for federal and state tax returns.
  • Input client’s working trial balance into software and make adjustments.
  • Perform analytical review of audit documents. 
  • Compile, copy, sort, and file documents.
  • Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports.

  • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • Writing - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • Social Perceptiveness - Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
  • Mathematics - Using mathematics to solve problems.
  • Computer Skills – Ability to operate spreadsheet, word processing and email programs.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin required

Experience and Education

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate); No experience required.
Enrollment in an accounting program at an accredited college/university.

Please note this position will be from Jan-April 2025.

This range considers many factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s knowledge, job specific skills, experience, licensure, and certifications.  A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $34/hr.
