    THE FOCUS IS YOU:  We are looking to add a Client Accounting Associate to our team to support our Client Accounting Advisory Services team to perform routine accounting needs of our clients.   WHAT YOU WILL DO Regular duties include (but are not limited to): - Maintaining calendar, knowing what’s next at all times. Review calendar first thing in the morning, review tomorrow’s appointments with partner before leaving for the day. Review upcoming week with partner at least once a week, sometimes more than a week out, depending on if there are big projects or presentations coming up. - Try to be as proactive as possible with preparing partner for what’s to come in the next few days - let staff know that partner is meeting with client ABC Company on X/XX/202X - is there anything that partner should know? Status of any work that is in process? - All time and expense entry. - All business-related travel. Coordinate some group trips. - Monitor partner emails - respond to anything that you’re capable of answering, so partner doesn’t have to. If you can’t answer an email, but know that a certain staff member can, forward that email to the person that can help the client. - Daily “To-Do’s” - consists of phone message list, short term projects, long term projects and prospects table, which is a simple table that keeps track of current prospects (includes prospect name, referral source, which staff the prospect has been assigned to, and status). - Communication - After every meeting, check in with partner about to-do’s/follow up items. Keep track of those follow ups/to-do’s until they have been executed. During drive time, make calls with partner. Conference partner with call recipient, listen for any follow up items/to-do’s that partner promised, etc. - For client meetings where partner doesn’t have any other staff attending, serve as “back up”, by sitting in the meeting quietly and taking notes/meeting minutes. This may be required for internal administrative meetings that the partner has, documenting action items and following up through execution. - Monitor CPE and licensing. Renew MI license, PTIN, etc. Schedule additional CPE as necessary. Position Summary Responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, implementing, and operating complex HR Technology Programs and Applications to meet organizational goals. Oversees and provides guidance to the staff responsible for the department’s projects. Supervises activities of a small department, major projects, and several smaller projects.   THE FOCUS IS YOU:    We are looking to add an Audit Senior Staff Accountant to help lead and guide our clients, in addition to support our internal leaders with the on-going growth in our Mid-Atlantic Region.   As an Audit Senior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for performing the necessary procedures involved in planning and executing attestation engagements for clients in accordance with the applicable accounting standards.  The Audit Senior Staff Accountant serves to work closely with clients and internal leaders, to ensure high-quality work is conducted and delivered to our clients, while given the opportunity to experience more complex areas of engagements and work on the development of supervisory skills necessary to prepare for the Senior level.    WHAT YOU WILL DO Regular duties include (but are not limited to): - Perform and assist with audits, reviews and compilations for clients in various industries - Prepare and analyze financial statements and evaluate internal controls - Assist with the coordination of the day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork and wrap-up - Deep understanding of accounting and reporting standards - Develop reasonable time budgets and coordinate audit requests to meet time constraints and client deadlines - Interact with clients to help ensure the information flow from the client to the audit team is efficient - Communicate with Client, Management, and Managing Director on work status and client issues that arise   WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR   Experience - 2-3 years in relevant position - Public accounting or other professional services environment preferred Education - Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience - Bachelor’s in Accounting (for Audit or Tax) - Master’s degree or 150 credits completed, in designated states License / Certification - Actively working toward passing the CPA Exam, or relevant certification for respective discipline as soon as possible, if certification is not already attained - Must maintain required CPE credits annually Legal / Compliance - Must complete acknowledgement of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards document - Governmental engagements require ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States government   WHO WE ARE   READY TO DELIVER We take pride in our ability to combine local knowledge with national, regional, and international skills to provide you and your organization with the best resources possible.
