THE FOCUS IS YOU:
Senior Associates work on a variety of assignments, including business and business interest valuations, purchase price allocations, impairment testing, intellectual property valuations, complex financial instruments, stock options, and dispute consulting.
The Senior Associate will play a key role in working with senior leaders to grow the Business Valuation Services Practice (the “Practice”) and deliver superior client service with technically sound and objective analysis and function in all facets of the Practice for the Northeast Region.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Regular duties include (but are not limited to):
- Learn about our client companies and interview executive management
- Perform in-depth industry, market, and competitor research and valuation analysis on a wide range of public and private entities using all accepted approaches and theory
- Design financial models for discounted cash flow, guideline company analysis, intangible assets, transaction opinions and option pricing analyses
- Actively involved in the technical analysis and firm quality control requirements to ensure technical and functional accuracy
- Responsible for preparing comprehensive valuation reports to support and document our conclusions and outlining data pertinent to the engagement, market research, company valuations, and analysis of strategic and financial alternatives
- Present reports regarding analysis and conclusions of findings
- Remain current on new and changing technical applications
- Train and manage valuation staff
- Take an active role in the recruitment of new staff
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Experience
- Valuation Experience: 2+ years of relevant valuation experience is required. Experience at regional or national valuation practices is preferred. Well-rounded valuation expertise including experience with transaction-related valuations, financial reporting valuations (i.e., purchase price allocations, impairment testing, equity-based compensation, complex securities), ESOPs, and estate & gift planning valuations is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of constructing and reviewing valuation models and other financial models including: DCF, comparable company, stock option, and intangible asset models
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of software packages including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Capital IQ and Bloomberg
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with diverse teams
Education
- Requires a B.A. / B.S. degree (GPA of 3.0 or higher) in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics or similar concentration.
License/Certification
- Any FINRA licenses, CFA charters, and other industry-specific designations is a plus.

As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and reviewing financial information for clients, such as business and individual tax returns, with the benefit of gaining exposure to a diverse client base operating in a variety of industries. The Tax Senior Staff Accountant serves to work closely with clients and internal leaders, to ensure high-quality work is conducted and delivered to our clients, while given the opportunity to experience more complex areas of tax and work on the development of supervisory skills necessary to prepare for the Senior level.

The candidate is detailed oriented and possesses the ability to assume full responsibility for directing engagements and special assignments and has the enhanced capability of supervising a number of engagements simultaneously. The position oversees the performance of client service and all related activity. The candidate can perform all tasks related to client service and sees that assignments are accomplished by multiple engagement teams within the budgeted time. This role takes on responsibility for the professional and technical development of the staff through on-the-job-interaction and leading in-house training.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Regular duties include (but are not limited to):
- Provides technical expertise relating to complex IT Audit issues and questions from staff and clients
- Builds client relationships; maintains smooth working relationship with clients and solicits client input on satisfaction
- Assists partners/managing directors in managing effective billing and collections
- Appropriately manages risk and ensures quality control procedures are being executed on all engagement activities
- Ensures efficient and profitable execution of engagement financial management
- Generates new business opportunities annually, from new and existing clients
- Maintains, updates, and develops new IT audit programs, test procedures and templates
- Evaluates audit findings and control deficiencies based on understanding of client’s IT environment and business operations, along with creating and monitoring remediation plans
- Periodically reports status of multiple engagements to partners/managing directors
- Coaches, mentors, and develops staff
- While travel is required for some engagements, it is not overly burdensome

Experience
- 5+ years of relevant IT Auditing experience in a public accounting or other professional services environment
- Management experience - leading, developing, and coaching teams
- Experience responding to RFP's and preparing client proposals
- Fluency in Mandarin is a plus

We are looking to add a Tax Senior Accountant to help lead and guide our clients, in addition to support our internal leaders with the on-going growth in our (INSERT REGION HERE) Region.
As a Tax Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for helping prepare and review financial information for clients, such as business and individual tax returns, with the benefit of gaining exposure to a diverse client base operating in a variety of industries. The Tax Senior Accountant serves to maintain client relationships and act as a liaison between overseeing the work of internal staff and working closely with internal leaders, to ensure high-quality work is conducted and delivered to our clients.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Regular duties include (but are not limited to):
- Prepare and review tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individuals
- Prepare and/or review federal, state and local tax returns, extensions, and quarterly projections for various clients (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Individual)
- Handle special projects including tax audits, transaction structuring, and implementation of tax planning strategies
- Facilitate advanced tax research, resolve complex tax issues
- Review tax work from staff and provide feedback, training, and mentoring
- Lead and manage multiple tax engagements from start to finish ensuring they are completed within budget and timeline
- Build, manage, and maintain lasting relationships with clients
- Demonstrate advanced tax technical knowledge necessary for advising clients and developing an area of expertise
- Participate in firm’s marketing, recruiting, team-building, and similar efforts
- Develop outside relationships with a goal of generating referral sources
- Adhere to firm’s policies and procedures

- Experience in municipal government and/or nonprofit is a plus, but not required - Port Huron, MI
- Experience with Consolidated C-Corp/multi-state returns are a plus, but not required - Detroit, MI

We are looking to hire a Senior Manager of Change Management to join our growing team. This full-time position will require a blend of some time spent at client sites with remote flexibility and moderate travel. The Management Consultants will serve as change practitioners leading and implementing change strategies for process, technology, organizational and cultural change initiatives. These Management Consultants will work closely with the Director and Managing Director to deliver and execute meaningful change strategies for client companies. This role is critical to UHY’s overall success and growth trajectory.
HOW YOU CAN IMPACT OUR FIRM
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Experienced change practitioner with 7+ years of experience leading, executing, and implementing change strategies for process, technology, organizational and cultural change initiatives
- Perform change management assessments including a change risk assessment, stakeholder analysis, change impact analysis and training needs assessment
- Develop change management strategies for client initiatives for strategic goals and operational projects
- Lead teams in successfully implementing change management strategies to drive adoption of client initiatives
- Construct and implement actionable and targeted change management plans including a communication plan and training plan
- Ensure that change management initiatives and activities are in alignment with overall program plans, objectives, and timelines
- Partner with program leads and project managers to integrate change management activities into project plans
- Coach and guide primary Sponsor in stakeholder messaging and engagement activities

- Craft communications and key messages for stakeholder engagement activities to build awareness and drive buy in and adoption of change initiatives
